Private Duty Nursing

When a loved one needs skilled medical care at home, Carnegie Healthcare's Private Duty Nurses are there — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our licensed RNs and LPNs deliver hands-on clinical care tailored to each patient's unique needs, so they can remain safely in the comfort of their own home.

Private Duty Nursing (PDN)

For patients with complex, chronic, or acute medical needs, Private Duty Nursing provides extended one-on-one nursing care in the home — going far beyond what a standard skilled nursing visit can offer. Carnegie Healthcare's PDN nurses are available up to 24 hours per day, giving families peace of mind and patients the clinical attention they require.

We serve both pediatric and adult clients and work closely with physicians, case managers, and insurance coordinators to ensure care plans are medically appropriate and fully authorized.

Private Duty Nursing is often appropriate for patients who have conditions with conditions such as:

  • Ventilator and tracheostomy care
  • Enteral feeding tubes (G-tube / J-tube)
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Complex respiratory needs
  • Post-hospital recovery
  • Seizure disorders
  • Congenital disorders
