1:1 Dedicated School Nursing
Some students require individualized, continuous nursing support throughout the school day. Our 1:1 school nurses work directly with the student, their family, and the school's IEP or 504 team to deliver safe, consistent medical care that allows the student to fully participate in their education.
Our nurses are experienced in managing complex medical needs in the school environment, including:
- Tracheostomy and ventilator management
- Gastrostomy (G-tube) and feeding tube care
- Seizure monitoring and emergency response
- Catheter and ostomy care
- Diabetes management and insulin administration
- Medication administration per physician orders
- Respiratory treatments and nebulizer therapy
Our 1:1 school nursing services are available to districts and families throughout New Jersey and in Bucks, Philadelphia, Lehigh, Northampton, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania.
Substitute School Nursing
When your school nurse is absent, you need a qualified replacement — fast. Carnegie Healthcare maintains a pool of credentialed substitute nurses available for short-notice and long-term coverage across New Jersey school districts.
All of our substitute school nurses are:
- Appropriately licensed nurses in good standing in the state where the assignment is located
- Screened and credentialed in accordance with applicable state, district, and assignment requirements
- Experienced in the school health environment
- Available for single-day, extended, and full-year placements
